A little piece of HH.
Monday, May 20, 2013
I was fortunate enough to witness the Dalai Lama's presence live on Saturday and an incredible experience it was. Just the way that he speaks of humanity inspires me to be a better person. I wish everyone could be reached by his wisdoms, especially those caught up in abusive, violent uninspiring environments. His holiness spoke a lot about human beings being the same and having the same emotional capability.. The feelings of anger, hatred and fear are the stems of violent behaviors and if those hearts were more compassionate violence would cease. If there were a way to shed the steel shells over those violent hearts the world would be, could be, a better place for all humanity. He talked about this happiness revolution starting from inside of you. You, one person, can be more compassionate toward others and can help lift others up. We should all be stepping stones to others successes not obstacles. All humans have the ability to feel love, sometimes they just need help from another person.. some motivation. His laugh.. is totally infectious - it was such a pleasure and dream of mine to see him speak and be in his presence and I checked it off the bucket list last weekend for sure.Posted by KatLove at 1:57 PM | 0 comments | Email This BlogThis! Cyan and had a fun day Monday playing in the warm weather and being creative! A few things we learned from experimentation were.. What comes up must come down and if you soak a stick of chalk in water for any length of time you practically make paint. TRY IT! You won't be disappointed however I can't promise you won't be covered in chalk paste. I've got an creative mind on my hands and in my head for sure!

Mother's Day Love.
Monday, May 13, 2013
Sadly it's been awfully long since I've posted, however my blog has a new look and my intentions are currently good. ;)I had such a great day yesterday for Mother's Day! Bret, Cyan and I had a lovely brunch at le'Creole YUM.. and bottomless mimosas for Mommy ='d a mid day nap. This video was taken last week - Cyan seems to have a love for creatures of all kinds. Although, I did see him squish a love bug the other day..
This little boy has rhythm!! He was playing this tune all by himself on his horn. You can see he presses the button with his thumb to the ending of Mary had a little lamb and the beginning of Old McDonald. SMARTY PANTS!! :) I couldn't be more proud of how he's learning all sorts of tricks and he never ceases to amaze me with something new each day.

A Jumping Adventure.
Thursday, January 17, 2013
One of my thoughts for resolutions was to blog more, write more.. It seems to be a annual resolution that never pans out. Here it is January 17th and my first post of the year.. perfect. This is why it's a thought not necessarily a resolution. :)Cyan and I went and met two friends who also have babies the same age at Jump N Jive, an indoor play area that has inflatable jumps and slides. Since we've been so cooped up these last two weeks due to the rain/freezing weather, we HAD to get out and hop off some energy.Cyan loves to jump, so I knew how stoked he'd be when we got there.. Truth be told he didn't stop. We went up and down the giantess slides and even made our way through an inflatable obstacle course that was clearly made for children not carrying babies. Work out, be more active a second resolution of sorts.. to get more exercise was alive and well today. He jumped and ran and played and slid and jumped and ran and ran and jumped and climbed. My angel baby is growing up.. He climbed numerous times to the top of this HUGE slide and slid down alone.. of course after mommy had went down with him bunches too.So needless to say mommy shed a tiny tear watching him climb up that ladder to get to the top and shimmy his body across to get to the slide. Part of me wanted to go up there and help him, he needs me.. but another part of me wanted to give him some toddler freedom of independence. He kept looking back at me after a few steps and smiling.. I knew he felt confident to do it alone. Thanks to Rachel, James, Becca, and Camilla for playing with us today! We had FUN!Posted by KatLove at 3:33 PM | 0 comments | Email This BlogThis! Pony boy.
Wednesday, July 25, 2012
The summer at daycare has been very eventful. Cyan comes home with a new drawing or craft daily and has experienced many new things including a ride on a pony today. I bet he was a
bit afraid at first but he loves riding on the backs of humans so I know he enjoyed himself. We're trying a new approach with the spot on his back.. Not putting anything on it, no even soap to wash it. Hopefully this works, we still can't figure it out and of course it stresses me to the max. My perfect baby boy has a skin imperfection that keeps coming back.. Same spot on his back, its red and blisters at times. The dermatologist we saw says she thinks it's contact dermatitis the pediatricians thoughts were ezcema, it's been there for months and was nearly gone when we returned from the beach. Maybe I'll start putting sea salt in his baths..?!?

Blogging Molly
Tuesday, July 17, 2012
Lately I've been an awful blogger.. I hate not being able to write daily. Sometimes it's that I'm too busy, or I forget til midnight and I'm exhausted, or I don't have much to say so I save it until I have some decent content!
Today Cyan's new things are.. Climbing atop tables, dancing like a maniac every time any tune plays.. Music, toys, cell phone ringtones, commercial, EVERYTHING.! Also today he has been saying bye bye and waving. He's getting much more cognitive these days. Last weekend we had dinner out twice in a row, what a treat! He was giving kisses and waving and blowing kisses! Haha! He couldn't be any cuter. With all this sweetness comes a bit of salty I suppose. He's definitely teething and has the occasional spell of rough nights. He likes yogurt when he wakes up teething, I think it's the cold on his baby gums that he really appreciates. Other than this he's actually been having nights of restful sleep in a row, which until 14 months I hadn't a taste of. He had summer pictures at school a couple weeks ago, I'm patiently awaiting the outcome! :)
Work has been exceptionally great, I'm learning so much more about color and teaching too. Big things in my future!

Fishy Fun.
Wednesday, July 4, 2012
Today we went to the aquarium for an impromptu trip with some family. Bret and I hadn't been there in years and it was Cyan's first time. He really seemed to enjoy it! His favorites were the tropical brightly colored fish (a favorite of mine as well) and the penguins and otters!! Cy didn't fuss at all and strolled right through his nap to see all the sites.Posted by KatLove at 8:27 PM | 0 comments | Email This BlogThis!
