Pony boy.
Wednesday, July 25, 2012
The summer at daycare has been very eventful. Cyan comes home with a new drawing or craft daily and has experienced many new things including a ride on a pony today. I bet he was a
bit afraid at first but he loves riding on the backs of humans so I know he enjoyed himself. We're trying a new approach with the spot on his back.. Not putting anything on it, no even soap to wash it. Hopefully this works, we still can't figure it out and of course it stresses me to the max. My perfect baby boy has a skin imperfection that keeps coming back.. Same spot on his back, its red and blisters at times. The dermatologist we saw says she thinks it's contact dermatitis the pediatricians thoughts were ezcema, it's been there for months and was nearly gone when we returned from the beach. Maybe I'll start putting sea salt in his baths..?!?

Just about a week shy from turning 16 months, Cyan is walking more than he's crawling these days. Officially a walker!

Blogging Molly

Lately I've been an awful blogger.. I hate not being able to write daily. Sometimes it's that I'm too busy, or I forget til midnight and I'm exhausted, or I don't have much to say so I save it until I have some decent content!
Today Cyan's new things are.. Climbing atop tables, dancing like a maniac every time any tune plays.. Music, toys, cell phone ringtones, commercial, EVERYTHING.! Also today he has been saying bye bye and waving. He's getting much more cognitive these days. Last weekend we had dinner out twice in a row, what a treat! He was giving kisses and waving and blowing kisses! Haha! He couldn't be any cuter. With all this sweetness comes a bit of salty I suppose. He's definitely teething and has the occasional spell of rough nights. He likes yogurt when he wakes up teething, I think it's the cold on his baby gums that he really appreciates. Other than this he's actually been having nights of restful sleep in a row, which until 14 months I hadn't a taste of. He had summer pictures at school a couple weeks ago, I'm patiently awaiting the outcome! :)
Work has been exceptionally great, I'm learning so much more about color and teaching too. Big things in my future!

Fishy Fun.
Wednesday, July 4, 2012
Today we went to the aquarium for an impromptu trip with some family. Bret and I hadn't been there in years and it was Cyan's first time. He really seemed to enjoy it! His favorites were the tropical brightly colored fish (a favorite of mine as well) and the penguins and otters!! Cy didn't fuss at all and strolled right through his nap to see all the sites.Posted by KatLove at 8:27 PM | 0 comments | Email This BlogThis! Share to X Share to Facebook |

Gaining ground.
Thursday, June 14, 2012
So, my sweet ham did take some steps a week or so ago then proceeded to get a head cold (the most severe one he's had for sure). This last week he was definitely not his light and happy self, wasn't eating much or drinking much and was not happy about the congestion! He hadn't really wanted to stand on his own or walk at all. We brought him into the ped and got him on some antibiotics and learned of some fluid in his ears.. Probably a big part of his disinterest in being active. Today we went to the dermatologist to check on his spot on his back that we've been thinking is eczema and doc says she's pretty sure it's not! Sooo I'm cutting off every single tag on every article of clothes he owns. Got some ungodly expensive lotion for the spot, hopefully it'll be gone soon! He was eager to stand more all day today an even took several steps to and from chairs and tables in the office. He couldn't be more excited about it! I'm thinking he's feeling a bit better now! Maybe he'll walk at the beach for real! :)Posted by KatLove at 11:35 PM | 0 comments | Email This BlogThis! Share to X Share to Facebook |

A stand up kind'a day.
Friday, June 1, 2012
Yesterday 053112 was definitely a day to remember embodying many different emotions. Bret had to attend a funeral service for a friend of ours who was involved in a helicopter crash on Monday memorial day 52812. He was young and leaves a wife and two young sons. Sad day.
It was also Chloe's birthday, baby fur is 4 now!
I got to work on a legit set, doing hair for designers on models. SO FUN and I get to do it again on Saturday for project runways fashion show for BR fashion week. Egggciting!
Lastly, we got some new shoes for Cyan.. Ones good for pre-walkers. He just made 14 months and hadn't stood alone yet, not that I was concerned but I was beginning to be concerned ;)
I've had a feeling that his current Kai's were too big for him so we ordered hin some pediped's size 6-12 mo. Small fry! He was sitting in his high chair when I tried them on him.. One sandal and one tennis. I got him out of his chair and stood hint up, expecting to have him buckle to his knees like usual but NOPE he locked his knees and stood there, I was so excited I could barely contain myself!! Bret called to tell me he was on his way from work so I mentioned what had just happened with him standing.. Bret got home and asked Cy to show him how he could stand, and he got right up! Like he had been doing it for months.. And he's really confident and good at it!! Yay my big boy.
Busy day tomorrow. Wheeeee!

An eye for an eye, a tooth for an arm.

Things have been good here. Lovetrolux is finishing up a few jobs and continuing on editing our most recent wedding. Exciting stuff!
Cy has been well, although he did get a taste of a bite at daycare on Friday. Grrrr. What's a girl to do? Toddlers will be toddlers! Apparently there was some animosity over a toy that he was playing with. I actually feel better about the bite than I did about the psycho scratching kid. Dang. We went out for dinner on Friday.. We usually do but have been so busy lately we've skipped the last few weeks. Outback as usual, Bret is addicted to the ahi appetizer! Like father like son I presume.. My child loves raw tuna!
Weather has been nice and warm so we've been taking advantage of some splash time outdoors. He loves the water and splashing around. One more week until 14 months and still no walking. Lately he does seem to be more interested. We bought him a new plastic walker that's significantly lighter in weight than the wooden one we got from Santa! (I love how auto correct just uppercased Santa.. After all, that is his name!) The plastic one is easier for him to turn so he's now scooting all around cutting corners and the like. My poor poor baseboards. ;)
My guess on the late walking status is that I may hold him too much. Oh well! He'll walk eventually.
Shut eye.
